Jerry,
I want to thank you for giving me the ability at 72 years old with severe arthritis in both shoulders to continue to fulfill my passion. After not being able to hunt for years with a traditional bow I thought my hunting days were over.
October 2011 hunting with my son and son-in-law in Syracuse, N.Y. I harvested a nice 4 point and both my son and son-in-law harvested does with their traditional compound bow. I was quick to remind them that the old man was the only one to fill his Buck tag with the Draw-Loc . Everyone with a disability or medical problem should use the Draw-Loc. If you want your wife or child to shoot with you, set them up with a Draw-Loc.

I’m sincerely passionate about my Mini
I’m sincerely passionate about my Mini because I was just about to give up my favorite sport archery hunting because of my frustrations with the front heavy crossbows which I had brought (3) of them in the pass 6 years? Then I found your Mini and I’m BACK!!! Loving every minute of it.
I started out as a teenager 40 years ago bow hunting with a
compound bow and loved it. But as I got older and my body wore out I had to
give up the compound because of my shoulder injuries. Then along came the
Crossbow era and again allowed me to hunt with a primitive weapon. But
unlike my upright compound bow which I was so accustomed to, the
conventional style Crossbow with horizontal limbs was very cumbersome and
front heavy making me constantly looking for ways to prop it up. Then I
found your Crossbow Mini online and immediately noticed that it looked just
like my compound bow and purchased it without hesitation. Once I had it in
my hands it was all I thought it would be and more, 1.) Its Upright design.
2.) Handles and shoots just like my beloved compound. 3.) Wasn't front heavy
or awkward like a standard crossbow, don't need props. 3.) A Total weight of
6 LBS! 4.) I love its speed and flat trajectory allowing me to shoot only
(2) Pins, first pin 0 - 30yds and second pin for 40yds. Need I say more and
I quote "By far the best crossbow I will ever own" because I'm back shooting
my beloved compound bow again!
Last year was the first season hunting with my Mini, I successfully
harvested two Doe's, I'm excited again to hunt this 2016 season with my
Crossbow Mini. I don't think anyone that purchases a Crossbow Mini would not
be pleased as I am. There service is amazing, when you call a real person
answers the phone and more than likely it will be Jerry himself ready to
help, can't beat that for service.
Thanks again for all your help and great service.

I will never look back or regret the decision.
After numerous hours and months of research about the various crossbows available I purchased Jerry's mini-inline bow,(which turned out to be far less expensive than the $1,500. to $2,500 I had planned on spending on a crossbow) I will never look back or regret the decision. Triggers as with my custom pistols and rifles is very important to me, balance and actual field usability are among the deciding factors in choosing his design. After talking to Jerry you soon realize he is the designer and knows what he is talking about in development of something that is designed for actual use in the field of someone that is a serious hunter. There are so many advantages to his design I am still discovering the true genius in what he has done, any other crossbow I handle now seems archaic, and like lifting a log to shoot! It was dead on right out of the box, he obviously cares about his product he offers. Another advantage is it takes regular arrows not crossbow bolts!

Then I got to shoot it, and DANG!
I got the pleasure of meeting Jerry in Nashville at a gun show, and got see one of these vertical crossbows up close. I was so impressed I bought one, the whole crossbow is just genius in design and so compact and lightweight, like I said I was sold on just the look and feel of the Hickory Creek mini. Then I got to shoot it, and DANG! I'm definitely a believer!!! the trigger is so smooth and this thing makes me look like a pro. I can not even begin to explain to you how easy and how great this crossbow is, and shooting it
is a dream. I honestly believe anyone who shoots the vertical mini crossbow from Hickory Creek will want one!!!!

I was so impressed with your product!
Hello Sir,
I saw you at the spring turkey show in Nashville 2016. I am not sure if you wanted to be more largely advertised but since I was so impressed with your product when I saw it, I decided to pass your website along to Clarksville guns and archery. They were very interested about the information I gave them about your product and might be reaching out to you soon. I hope they do and I hope your product takes off. As a disabled veteran it really appealed to me and I want other veterans to seize the opportunity that your product can offer them. Many of us former bowhunters thought our dreams of bow hunting were over so thank you for producing this opportunity for us to continue doing what we love. All the best wishes to you Sir.
Sincerely,
Z Jones

Compact, easily detachable stock and very accurate
Many thanks Jerry for taking the trouble to write and catch up.
I am very happy with the compact, easily detachable stock and very accurate and versatile bow.
My personal view and change to your original set-up was to put in two hand tied bcy string nocks to try and get rid of "pinched nock" in view of the acute angle of the bow string at full draw.
The bow is shooting very well with those changes!
Best regards,

Accurate As All Heck
PS you have an amazing product jerry its everything i could ask for in a crossbow and in a size package that is unbelievably easy to handle and carry. Shoots like a dream, accurate as all heck, and tons of power behind each shot. Flashlight attachment in the middle of the left handle would be great. I will try to see if there is something out there that will work. When i put it on the scope the light reflected off the limbs washing out my visibility. When i put the flashlight on my left hand wrapping my left trigger finger around it like a cigar and holding the grip it works, visibility is spot on but i compromise my grip.
Thanks so much jerry, its always a pleasure speaking with you.

Hickory Creek Mini Serious Bow Lots Of Fun:
Hickory creek mini serious bow lots of fun:
Well folks my life has moved in another direction I sold the bows that were nearly impossible for me to cock and bought the mini from Jerry. Great little bow to have fun with and hunt with. I am of the age and my worn out body requires a winch cocker to hunt or play.
This little bow is not only fun to shoot but accurate. I had to get my knee pod to steady things up I am so shakey but look out tic toters. I haven't been able to practice as much as I like. I wish as light as the bow is I could shoot better but beggars can't be choosers. Just thankful with the knee pod and an apparatus to fit in my belt and hold it to the bow I can calm the shakes enough I can get a 2" group at 20 yds. Nearly all my shoots are 15 to 20 yds. I don't shoot past 20 yds.
If you are older like me and can't cock the bow don't be afraid to get Jerry to put you a winch cocker on. I use to have a hang up about being man enough to cock the bow by hand. Not anymore just glad to be able to shoot something so small and light. Any way it's not about how you cock it the fun is still being able to shoot and hunt. Give the little bow a chance it's a real shooter.
I am not on any ones payroll I just want people to know there is small light and lots of fun bow. Don't be afraid of the winch cocker it is a piece of cake and gets weaker and older people back in the game. Thanks Larry
Jerry
You guys have a great product there!
Jerry,
Yes, you guys have a great product there. I couldn't wait to see what the Mini would do so I went out on the back porch & shot into the crabgrass about 15 yards out. Needless to say the arrow vanished. I suspect it's underground somewhere.
I have a target set up at about 50yrds now. My shooting pattern is a little broad, but getting better. I've got to concentrate on not flinching when I release the arrow.
Dave
One of my all time Fav's of all my toys.
Jerry ,
We got the Mini and it's amazing right out of the box!! I am just a dude, a novice , but I have test shot a bunch of XB's . The Mini is the Bomb! I'm a fairly healthy size guy and cocking this thing at full power was not easy. We reduced the power to low max (3 turns / about 100lbs I guess) and my son and I both can easily cock it with no gloves. It's no big deal for us big boys but even at the 100lb setting it was impossible for my wife and challenging for a couple small guys. I think 100lbs will be perfect for my son and me to practice, but of course I want to see what it will do cranked up. This Mini is probably one of my all time Fav's of all my toys. I've got a bunch of great toys...
Thanks’ a bunch!

Light, powerful, fast, precision instrument
Congratulations Jerry, on this, your latest crossbow product. In all my
77 years, I've not shot a better, more fun to use, weapon. I've had mine
about a month now, and usually shoot at least two sessions a day with
it. I've read many of the comments others have written and agree with
all I have read.
I find it to be a light, powerful, fast, precision instrument. Mine was
first adjusted to 150 lbs and I had no trouble drawing it, except that
the gloves I was using sometimes were cumbersome. I took your advice,
Jerry, and bought a pair of weight lifter's gloves. What a difference!
I also took your advice and lowered the 150 lbs draw to about 100 lbs
while I just shoot target practice. Arrows still pierce four 1 inch
rubber mats and two 3/4" pressed wood boards I use as a back drop for my
stuffed target.
I also wish to commend you for your caring, helpful attitude when
dealing with customers. Shortly after receiving my mini-crossbow, on a
very cold morning, I failed to nock an arrow properly. I missed the
loop attached to the bowstring and placed the nock below it. The result
was a shattered arrow and a derailed bowstring. I ended up having to
call you for instructions on how to re-string the bow string. I was
embarrassed to have caused the derailing, but you immediately put me at
ease and quietly, gently talked me through the necessary process. I
ended up considering the derailment as a positive event, as I am now
absolutely comfortable performing any task on this fine instrument,
including "sighting". I'm looking forward to soon use it to shoot a few
pesky wild hogs that have been tearing up a friends gardens.
If anyone in the Gainesville, Florida area would like to see this mini
crossbow and/or shoot it, I welcome them to come by. My phone number
is: 352 371-2333.
Thanks Jerry! I appreciate you and your marvellous creation!

I wanted to keep using my compound
I had to try something with a chronic shoulder injury I couldn't physically draw and anchor even with a light poundage bow so instead of switching over to a crossbow which was recommended, I wanted to keep using my compound with the draw loc I'm able to use my same setup without the use of my shoulder I couldn't imagine life without bow hunting I have been doing it since I was a kid if you are having trouble withdrawing and holding your bow or just trying to beat target panic give the draw loc a try I promise you will enjoy it as much as I have if you have any questions give Jerry a call he can get you set up thanks, Jerry!

Absolutely love it!
Hi Jerry,
Just wanted to let you know about my very successful hunting season using your drawloc on my Mathews MQ 1. I killed an 11 point 140 inch buck second day of my southern Ohio trip. On the fourth day I whacked a big doe. Can't say enough about the drawloc. Absolutely love it! I also purchased your Mini, very solid product. Tack driver to say the least. Everyone thinks it's the coolest thing ever! Thanks Jerry for all of your help! You are definitely a stand up guy who stands behind his products 100 percent! Doing business with you was a pleasure! Very rare these days. Thanks again.

What a "Little Beast"!
What a little beast, I got mine about 3weeks ago. I have never used a crossbow before. Talk about light and works like a dream, dead nuts accurate, you will not be disappointed
This is one Great Bow
I bought the mini for the compact design and lightweight. I never shot a crossbow before, but was impressed with the bow when received and shot. Everything works flawlessly. As I aged, it was getting more difficult to pull and hold my compound bow. This is one great bow! Buy one, you will not be disappointed

Sweet Little Thing
I had bought the Original In-Line Vertical Crossbow last year, love it, and killed several deer with it. I just found out that they were offering a smaller bow than the Original, hard to believe. After receiving the Mini I have to say it is the sweetest weapon I have ever held in my hands. Now I am shooting tight groups out to 50 yards. Amazing!
Thank you Jerry and Hickory Creek,

I Need A Crank
It's (the Mini) is awesome but I can only cock it about 5 times until my hands can't take it any more. What a powerful tack driver. Th arrows don't stop in my xbow target. I've had to back it up with tire rubber to keep the arrows from going through.
Thank you,

Vanquest Bags for the Mini (as seen on TwangNBang)
Hello Jerry,
First off let me say we are all impressed by what you have done with the vertical crossbow platform. Your level of innovation and functionality is head and shoulders above the rest.
We knew the demand would spike for both of us after Cameron put out those videos, and indeed his videos are referenced often by our customers.
I am part of the design team here and the RACKIT-36 was my first project after being brought on to the Research and Development team. I knew people would want to put take down bows and similar things in there.
If you place your order directly on Vanquest.com we will be sure to apply the discount after we get the order. I will also throw in some useful accessories to help organize your gear inside the outer compartment.

125# In-Line, 340 fps with my 474 grain arrow.
I like the mini. Pretty sweet set up. I like the velocity out of the larger one better. Your crossbow is sending my 474 grain arrows about 340 fps which is just spectacular. The mini looks like that it would be somewhat slower with that arrow weight. I'll think it over a little bit more but it does sound like that you could build either model in a horizontal configuration, correct?

I just received what I call .........
Sir,
I just received what I call the nicest bow any bowhunter could dream of using in the woods. It is a work of art! I can't wait to shoot it tomorrow. Assembly was a piece of cake. The 125# draw is not so bad, I'm using gloves to cock it. Everything fits so firm and solid, as if it's only one piece. Deer in this town are in trouble and don't even know it yet! Thanks for a great deal!

Never understood how people could get addicted to things!
Jerry,
Just want to say thanks for an incredible weapon. I'm 50 years old and until now I never understood how people could get addicted to things like golf and bowling. Well thanks to you and your in-line vertical crossbow, now I get it. In less than a year I have shot over 8,000 arrows and haven't begun to get my fix. All I can say is I am really looking forward to moose hunting this fall up here in Alaska and I cant wait to get one of your new mini crossbows. Thanks again.

Half as loud as my Barnett Quad 400 and faster!
I just wanted to let you know, I received your Vertical Crossbow yesterday evening. I only got to shoot it a few times before dark. The arrows weighed 412 grains and went 347 fps. This is about 10 fps faster than my Barnett Quad 400 and half as loud. And, it is much more pleasant to shoot. When the quad 400 goes off, it is just violent. The Vertical Crossbow is more like shooting a fast bow. One out of nine arrows went through a new Rinehart 16" target by an inch at 20 yards. The other arrows were within an inch of going through. No more shooting at 20 yards.
Everything looks good and seems to be working correctly.
Thank you,
Richard L

Greatest Thing Going
My son bought a draw loc and it is the greatest thing going if you can't use a regular compound bow. I was really impressed, after about a month he is breaking balloons the size of fifty cent pieces at 20 yards.

Proud to own this bow!
Just have to say that I am so proud to own this bow ! Ups delivered it today and I just finished up a session with it. I'm still going left but I am putting 4-5"groups. I felt absolutely compelled to write you a note.
Hello Mr. Goff,
I felt absolutely compelled to write you a note. I have always been fascinated with crossbows, but they all were so heavy and bulky... till surfing the net one day and I saw a picture of yours. Love at first sight ! Researched the forums, including the crossbow haters and the "that thang is ugly, it don't even look like a crossbow " purists. Isn't that what the purists said about the stealth fighter plane too ? Anyway , I hope the archery nation will recognize what a fine advancement and contribution you have made to the industry. I am now a part of that nation because of you , as are countless hundreds of disabled people that simply could not be even a part of it with a conventional bow or the behemoth crossbows that are everywhere.
The quality of your workmanship and dedication to your craft is truly inspiring . My 401k will not be getting as large of an annual contribution in the years to come but I'm sure having a heck of a good time with this bow. I can't wait to try the new mini version and I'm sure you have others on the blackboard. It is truly a example of functional art in motion. Thank you sir.
Fred
Have you tried a sling?
Hi Jerry, how are you?
Thanks again for your great product. By using your Draw-Loc, I've been able to enjoy my bow since last year.
Have you ever tried to sling a vertical bow?
I live in California and carrying the bow in the brush is kind of messy. I was looking into something similar to "one point sling" but I thought I'd better check with you first.
Regards,
Fred
Have a question
I purchased the Draw-Loc after multiple shoulder injuries, I love it. My problem is that I have a few compound bows. Can I purchase just the stirrup part for another bow and use the trigger tube that I already have?

Brent,
Parts can be bought for replacements, but the Draw-Loc is sold as a complete kit and not sold in sections.

A Quick Note About The Draw-Loc
Jerry: Just wanted to send you a quick note about the drawloc. Three years ago my shoulder injury progressed to the point that I couldn't pull back a 40 pound bow. I have bowhunted for 25 years and thought those days were over. I found the drawloc and ordered one for my Matthews MQ-32. This has allowed me to stay in the sport that I otherwise would have given up. The system works great. Since my shoulder shows no signs of getting better without surgery I think my next step will be the inline vertical crossbow after this deer season! Thanks again for answering my questions and selling a quality product!

A Big Thank You
Hi
I would like to say a big thank you to you and whoever was involved in making my archery bow. It works brilliantly and it means that I can independently shoot the arrow without anyone assisting me with holding the bow.
If you would like I will keep you updated with the progress of the bow?
Hope to hear from you.

Never would have happened without Draw Loc!!!
Thanks Draw Loc. I
was no longer able to draw my bow on its lowest setting of
55 pounds Two days before my 66th birthday I shot my best
buck ever.Never have killed a buck with a bow. This was my
second buck with my draw loc. Last year when I was unable to
normally draw my bow I used my bow with the Draw Loc
attachment to shoot a 9 point basket rack. My friend said I
cleaned out the gene pool.I did remove the foot
stirrups as I am able to cock the bow by using both hands by
pulling into my belt buckle.
Never would have happened without Draw Loc!!!
Jason
I love this bow!
Hey Jerry, I have attached two pictures of myself with your inline vertical crossbow. One photo shows how I carry it around while hunting. I use a external frame back pack and hang it from the frame. This keeps my hands free to glass, bugle and range find. When I walk, I just put one hand on the bow string to stabilize it. Works great. I love how the bow breaks down so easy. I simply put it in my backpack while I hike the mountain in the dark and then assemble it just as it gets light. Awesome.
I have also installed the HHA optimizer for crossbows and have sighted it in out to 100 yards! I use a primos trigger stick bipod to steady my left hand for the longer shots. Works great!
I can leave the bow cocked for a few hours during a hunt. I never went very long since it is so easy to uncock compared to other crossbows.
Unfortunately, I did not get chance to harvest an animal this year with it. Maybe next year! Thanks!
Jason (Afton, Wy.)

My Favorite Crossbow
Hi Jerry,
Everything is great with the bullpup and the vertical crossbow, it really feels good in the hands, the way you grip it is natural and balanced. With it being vertical everything just lines up on target. Eye, string and pins, I'm getting real tight groups. Jerry, I've got other crossbows, but this one is definitely my favorite. I'm glad that you made a left hand model. It's easy to carry cause it's lies flat and it's light. And really like not having to use a cocking rope. Oh, the trigger is sweet. And it's so much fun. Thanks for great product.

A must read!!!
Hi
I thought you might want an update on the single arm system you sold us a couple of months back. The system is installed on a bow and is up and running. We have one young woman who through a stroke is only able to fully use one side of her body. She is now shooting independantly thanks to your system. She can cock, load and shoot the bow herself and is consistently scoring well. In actual fact she won our halloween zombie shoot ( so if it all goes wrong and the dead rise she will be OK with this bow ). She is shooting so well she will be taking part in her first field archery shoot in a few weeks. If your interested we are trying to convince her to let us video her shooting?

This skeptic is now a believer!
Thank you Jerry and the Draw-Loc family. For the past few years I have been unable to shoot a bow due to a chronic shoulder injury that cannot be surgically repaired. I had all but given up on shooting my bow, when we discovered the draw-loc system. I started using the system about 8 months ago. We fitted the device to my Bow-Tech Insanity, dialed it in, tuned it, and I’m shooting again. I was nervous about the system, which is actually very user friendly and safe. I am now as comfortable shooting as I have ever been. I participated and did well in a few 3D tournaments this summer and am currently trying to get an elk. I’ve gained new confidence in my ability with this system.
I have a license to use the device to hunt game in Montana. Upon approval of that application, the Montana Fish and Game sent much information regarding approved devices, including the Draw-Loc system.
If you are physically limited and think shooting is not possible, I would encourage you to watch the videos and read the information regarding the Draw-Loc system. This skeptic is now a believer. Gotta go, the elk are bugling!!
Thanks,

I'm so excited about this bow!!!
Jerry,
I'm so excited about this bow!!! My
groups are getting tighter and I'm really getting the
feel for it.
I set up the chronograph tonight and was just
amazed at the speed. Attached is a photo to show you
what I'm talking about. I'm averaging 355 fps.
I'm shooting 1 inch groups at 20 yards.
I actually have to pick different
spots on the target for each shot so that I won't shoot
my arrows. At this point, I have to say this is not
only the best, but by far the fastest and funnest bow I have
ever shot. I'm so excited to take it out hunting
next month.
Thanks
again!

THE MORE I SHOOT THE "BULLPUP" THE MORE I ENJOY IT!!
THE MORE I SHOOT THE "BULLPUP" THE MORE I ENJOY IT!!!... and you CAN quote me on that statement!!! I stepped out for a bit again tonight to do a quick shoot... put my targets out to 20 and 50-yards... put 2- in the bullseye at 20-yards... thought "this is great!!", then sent 4 @ 50-yards, walked up to the target... and all 4 went into the bullseye, SHAFT TO SHAFT!!!, ( had a heck of a time getting them out...) my Bowtec Carbon Knight is set @ 74-lbs, 80% draw, shooting carbon 400 gpi arrows, cronagraghed @ 298 fps... sinks into a Block target 20" of shaft... bow's IBO states 333 fps... what do you think of this bow???

Thanks for adding this to our sport
After injuring both shoulders, I thought bow shooting days were over.
I have progressed from 20 inches to 28 inches of draw and the
strength is getting better every day.
Most crossbows are so damn heavy I'd need a cart to drag it around.
I hooked my Draw-loc up to a Hoyt bow which only weighed about three pounds
and it carries just like a regular bow. Thank you so much for your
adding this to the sport. I and many others thank you .

HHA works great on The In-Line Crossbow
Hi Jerry, I’m Rick from Florida and I just wanted to tell you how happy I am with my new In-line Crossbow. I have shot it a couple of days now and I am so impressed with this setup. I installed an HHA Optimizer Speed Dial and SD-L4 scope and I am shooting sub-inch groups @ 40 yards. Can’t wait to go out tomorrow and start extending my range. The quality of the bow is so impressive. I could not be happier with my purchase. Thanks again for all your help and advice.
Best regards,
Rick
The shipping to Germany was no problem
Hi Jerry,
I will give you a quick review of the draw-Loc this way.
I bought my new Bear Effect compound bow in Canada this year. At the same time I ordered the Draw-Loc. The shipping to Germany was no problem. I ordered the Draw-Loc with the truglo scope in camo and the mount for the Draw-Loc. Everything fits well together.
The Draw-Loc is very well machined and very high quality.
The installation was easy and I started to tune the bow.
I tuned it at 10, 20, 30 and 40 yards. After this the arrows group very well and they where within about 4" at 40 yards.
In 1977 I had a bad motorcycle accident and my right arm was badly injured. For this reason I never could draw a compound bow, but now I am realy enjoying the bow shooting.
Only the Draw-Loc makes this possible.
The Draw-Loc is a very vallueable and useable help for me to use a compound bow.

Thanks for getting me back in Archery!
Hello Jerry, this is Alan , I talked to you on the phone last week, (I was going to order the DrawLoc from you, but you told me that Flaming Arrow in Kalispell, Montana had already ordered 2 from you, so I waited for them to come in... and I had to tell you how much I am enjoying this on my Mathews Solocam Z... I was afraid after my stroke, that archery was a thing of the past... but now I am looking so much forward to the upcoming bow season this year... I am going to try to send you a few pic's of me and some of the Elk I have harvested, the one from 2005 was the one I got the after my stroke, and the last Elk hunt for me in almost 10-years... THANKS AGAIN for getting me back into archery hunting!!! Alan of Montana

The Vertical Crossbow drew a crowd
Took the bow to the shop and had them put it all back together for me and put on the e-clip ... Shot it about 50 times flawlessly !!! Wish I would have took a picture cause it definitely drew a crowd of people just wanting to see what it was . Had the guys at the range shoot it and two guys that were there shooting as well. Everyone was in shock how nice it felt and how sweet it looked . I did do one little upgrade to it , I changed out the sights and threw on a trophy ridge sight and dialed it in at 20,30,40&50 with no problem at all !! I am so happy with it ... Cannot wait until hunting season .. I've attached a few pics of the sight , let me know what you think ..

Product is Unbelievable!
Jerry,
After installing the scope base with the Weaver/Picatinny Rail, everthing looks great! The groups at 25 yard are real tight- 1/2" or so.
The product is unbelievable. Trigger is good as any rifle- Easy to cock, light weight, etc.
Arthrititis has cause me to not draw even a 30# and the Ecalibur Crossbow, I have, is not satisfactory- the Draw-Loc is my ANSWER!
Thank you,

I started looking at crossbows.....
I’m 64 years old and have enjoyed shooting and hunting with a bow since I was 19. In my thirties I pulled 80 lbs. but that has declined over the years to 60 lbs. Everything still works; shoulders, arms, and elbows, but they are showing the abuse I’ve given them over the years. I’m not as steady on target as I once was and I’m dealing with a slight case of target panic; however, I did get two deer this year. I started looking at crossbows but soon decided I did not want to give up my Mathews Drenalin LD. I was intrigued by the Draw-Loc when I saw it on the Internet. After a few emailed questions to Hickory Creek Archery, I ordered the Draw-Loc. It was easy to install and adjust. I’m able to keep my sight pin on the target, and I’m very impressed with the accuracy I’m achieving. At 25 yards I only shoot a couple of arrows at a spot because of the number of nocks I have broken. I may never shoot a deer at 50 yards but I’ve shot a few 3 arrow, 2-inch groups at that distance.
The Draw-Loc lacks some of the primitive joy of drawing an arrow to my cheek and releasing it, but next deer season it will be on my bow while hunting.

The only negative!
Hi. So I shot it on Wed at 20 yards. It's very accurate. I had to raise the pin a bit. The arrows fly much straighter. I ordered a bipod yesterday to attache to the stabilizer. I'll send you a photo later. Have you tested it with the muzzleloader scope. It has the extra lines on it for bullet drop(arrow drop). This is my best group but all were 1.5 inches or less. But it was all me- shaking from being hungry and exited. I love it but the only negative thing about it is that my wife will be upset because I'll spend more time shooting it. David from Iowa

I don't have any dislikes!
I dont have ANY dislikes. What I like is how compact and light this bow is. I can use it in a ground blind with no problem just as easy to use in a tree stand or stalking thru the woods. It's quiet and easy to draw and I dont have to shoot it to "unload" it. It's fast and deadly accurate and it breaks down easily for storage without affecting my zero on the scope or pins, (try that with any other bow out there!). Don't forget you have the full length arrow advantage over a short bolt too! A great warranty is just gravy on the taters guys. As a disabled hunter, this has been a Godsend for me. I wouldn't be able to enjoy the sport I love without it...but I would still own one and use it exclusively even if I had no injury. I used to hunt traditional bows only and remember how people put down "compound bows" because they weren't what "Real" hunters would use. And then came crossbows and the same thing happened and now we still see the Same old arguments" with people that haven't educated themselves to to see the value in the "old" as well as in the "new". I've realized since my injury that there's room for everyone's opinion and I'm sharing mine now. The HC Inline crossbow is an absolutely fantastic and innovative stick and string that can be utilized by the young and old, the physically fit and the disabled, the old school and the new school guys and anyone else in between. I would simply invite anyone to put one in your hands and experience this bow for yourself. It will more than likely change how you view crossbows and compound bows alike. See it...feel it...shoot it...own it. It's just that good. Enjoy the journey guys!

Thanks for the answers to my questions!
Jerry, I wanted to thank you for answering all my questions. I have attached a picture of a group I shot last night at 40 yards (a lot of fun). This Vertical Crossbow is awesome!
I was able to get the trigger working like it should. I lubed it and did a little adjustment. It is perfect now!
I am heading to my local bow shop to show it off later today!

I have fitted it to one of my compound bows
Greetings Jerry,
I have fitted it to one of my compound bows and my grouping is at least twice as good.
I think not having to hold the pull while lining up the target, ready for release, frees the muscles up and more relaxes the body.
This gives the marksman more concentration on target .
I am extremely pleased with the quality of the item and consequently my improved accuracy.
I have yet to show it off to fellow archers that I know.
Many thanks for your interest in my opinion and use of this marvellous device.

A huge 8pt with the Draw-Loc
Hi,
Just to thank you for helping me get my first buck with a bow using the
DrawLoc, a huge 8 pt. Two years ago I picked up a used Hickory Creek 25" bow used.
Since I've had MS for the last 33 years I no longer have the strength in
my arms and shoulders to pull a regular bow any more.
I installed the DrawLoc and was amazed at the immediate accuracy.
I took my first deer with a bow which was a doe in 2012 using the same bow setup
Thanks again for getting me back into the woods with a bow.

A word from Collin County Archery In Dallas
We just recently became a dealer for Hickory Creek and are actually in the process of developing a "Customized" VAC (vertical assault crossbow) model, which is simply a tweaked version of their current model. I will personally vouch for them. I was anti-crossbow for many years but the design of this thing is ingenious and it fits the needs of nearly everyone that would be in the crossbow market. On the model we are working on with 125lb limbs, we have already achieved faster speeds than the advertised 365fps using a standard arrow. The benefit to that being..... no specialty target needed, use a standard arrow and far higher kenetic energy than a standard carbon bolt out of a faster crossbow. After tuning we are getting 2" groups at 100yds, however we plan to push it out to 200yds to see how well it performs there. Once our customizations have been completed we will write a review, post specs & pics here on AT. In the mean time, the factory model is more than enough for even an expert marksman.

This thing is awesome!
Jerry,
I was an avid bow hunter and loved archery in general. I shot compounds for the first 15 years, and then shot a recurve for about 5 years after that.
I then developed tendonitis in my right wrist, and finally has surgery in 2007. For the first couple of years after that, I just sat at home during bow season. I then got a disability permit for a crossbow. The crossbow allowed me to get back in the woods, and was much more fun than a rifle.
I recently ordered a draw loc from you. This thing is awesome! Most importantly for me, I can cock it with one hand. I was shocked at how quiet it was when I shot it. It is great to shoot a bow again, it is fun. I was able to shoot decent groups at 30 yards in no time.
I did not realize how much I missed shooting a bow. I can now tune things to get good arrow flight. Adjust nock height, adjust the rest, whatever I want to do. I also love being able to use a pin sight again. I can set the pins to whatever yardage that I want. I could not do this with a crossbow scope, and had to remember first crosshair at 20 y, next one 30 y, then 38 y, then 45y. Also the bow is much lighter than a crossbow.
Thanks for a great product!

7 Operations On My Shoulder!
Hello and Thank You !
I bought a new Draw-Loc and a Barnett Compound bow this year, after almost 20 years of not being able to archery hunt.
I have had (7) Seven operations on my right arm and shoulder, and there was no way in the world I could bow hunt again.
I have been able to use a crossbow in Ohio for several years, but was not able to cross bow hunt here in New York.
After talking to you several times o via phone, and talking to several hunters here in NY that are using Draw-loc systems,
I dcided that I would give it a shot and buy one. So, I bought a new bow and went to my local archery shop and asked if he had
draw-loc's in stock. Was told yes and that he would install it for me. Well a few days later I received a call that my new bow was ready.
I went over and picked it up, went to the range and got sighted in. I LOVE this thing ! ! !
Although I was not able to harvest a deer this season, I was able to spend some time out in the woods in the favorable conditions
of early October here in western New York.
I am already looking forward to opening day in the fall.
Randy
I Love This Thang!
Yes I killed my second buck, it was another cull. Can i send you picture? I'm going to be heading south to Mexico tomorrow morning for a 10 day hunt.
I'm very hard on the Draw-Loc. So I have to make sure everything is tight. I remembered doing the same thing with my rifle. Check and tighten all the bolts.
I had two shoulder surgeries and my left is still not fixed. Being right handed I use a rest for my left arm staying full draw as long as I need with no strain.
I love this thang!! I can't ever see shooting any other way.

Bow Holders
I took my first Draw-Loc to an Archery Shoot
First draw lock I had was back in about 2002. I put one on my XI legend Magnum. Went to a local tournament with it. At first people laughed when I got it out. At the end of the shoot they disqualified me. Said it was illegal. I ask them to show me the rule and at the time there was none.LOL I told the whiner in second place he could have my trophy.
This product definitely has its place in bowhunting. Just like the compound shooters crying about crossbows. Lets just pull together!!!

THE PROOF IS IN THE FREEZER!!!
Hi Jerry,
I Purchased the Draw-Loc back in August and if anyone has any doubts about the Draw-Loc system the proof is in the freezer. Took two nice deer this bow season here in Delaware. Both dropped in sight of the stand after two perfect hits with the Draw-Loc. What more can you say. Thanks for a great product and continued success at Hickory Creek.

A big thank you
A big thank you for designing the draw lock for bows. I have hunted with it for three years now and have had great success. Last year I shot a 8 point and a doe. This year I have an amazing bow season already with another week still to hunt. I shot a nice size doe at 11 yards, a grey fox at 26 yards, a 8 point buck at 22 yards and finally a bobcat at 25 yards!! I'm so happy and excited to share. I shot the buck and bobcat an hour apart while hunting with my 72 year old father. This memory is forever.
I have had surgery on my wrist and lost 40% of usage, the draw lock is amazing in my Mathews DXT bow. Thank you again.

Added a scope to the Vertical Crossbow
Hello Jerry,
I just finished up getting the scope mounted and sighted in at 25 and 40 yards so far and it really tightens up the groups! This is the most remarkable bow I've ever seen. It just keeps getting better. If I could only get the deer on our property to see this bow, they would be fighting each other for the right to be the first "dirt nap" deer taken with the bow. i'll keep you posted about the progress here. Thanks so much!

Added a scope to the Vertical Crossbow
Hello Jerry,
I gave the New In-Line Draw-Loc a try
Several years ago, I damage my left shoulder caused by a broken three step close to my stand and took a fall 15 feet injuring my left shoulder. Needless to say this ended tree stand hunting. Heck I couldn't even hold my bow up 10 to 15 seconds let alone drawing it. With the purchase of the original drawloc with very satisfying results, hunting from the ground without a tent, I decided to give the new one inline drawloc a try. WOW!!!, Stability and accuracy improved. This system has even more adjustability to fit any bow.
Thanks Jerry for a fine product....Don D B. VT

Back in the game here in Montana
Hi Jerry,
I would like to thank you for getting me back in the game.
I stoped hunting with a bow two years ago because I wasn't able to pull my bow back any more. I was diagnosed with a progressive muscle disease three years ago and managed to hunt that year by backing off my bow as much as I could and that was really to much but I wanted to hunt. I tried it the next year but couldn't do it. I live in Montana and they don't allow crossbows so I found your web sight and boy I'm glad I did. Set up is straight foreword and was shooting in no time. Was able to put my bow back up to it's maximum and shoot some tight groups, so tight I had to shoot at different dots to keep myself from hitting my arrow knocks. Great product, shoots great. I can't thank you enough for getting me back out in the field.

The In-Line Draw-Loc performs flawlessly!
After receiving the In-Line Draw-Loc , Took a little time to get everything tuned in but the Bear Truth 2 that I'm shooting is hitting the X ring at 20yrds. with no problems. I couldn't wait to get to the archery range. The Draw-Loc performed flawlessly during a full day of long range shooting. This is one awesome product. Excellent quality, a well thought out design with an anti-dry fire safety feature, easy set up and very accurate. Without Hickory Creek and the Draw-Loc, my bow hunting days would have been over due to a bad shoulder injury. Hickory Creek got me back in the game.
Thanks again.

Hi Jerry,
I purchased a DrawLoc from you late last year and you kindly shipped it to Australia for me.
I can not thank you enough for this beautifully designed and engineered piece of equipment, that has allowed me to continue archery in spite of a shoulder injury.
I have been using the DrawLoc in 3D competition for 8 months now and it is well received by my fellow archers.
With many thanks for your wonderful contribution to archery.

Still working great!
Yes, I am shooting my bow. As a matter of fact I am in Syracuse now at my daughters getting some practice in. I will be back here on 10/15 for a couple weeks of white tail archery hunting.
I had the opportunity to tell a friend of mine about the :"Draw-Loc". I expect he will get in touch with you shortly. I tell everyone every chance I get.
My archery club still will not let me compete against the standard compound bow because my bow with your draw-loc is way too accurate and I score more points than they do every time. They say your Draw-Loc is unfair and they are correct.
Everyone, male, female, young, old, disabled, that wants to continue hunting with a bow needs to take a serious look at adding the Draw-Loc to their current compound bow or buying a new system completely set up for them.
Good Luck

"I got a Drop-A-Way Arrow Rest to work"
Hello Jerry,
I just wanted to show you a few photos of my modification allowing me to
place a drop-away rest etc...Jerry my friend I can't tell you how much I
like this new Draw-loc what and outstanding design!
As you know I have had two transplants over the past few years along with a
bunch of other surgeries & subsequent events leaving my right arm paralyzed
for about a year. Then had nerve transfer in that arm allowing about 85% use
of that arm again thank goodness. Well during that recover time I bought a
high-end crossbow and used it for one season and it just wasn't the same in
no way shape or form compared to shooting my bow. I have been shooting
archery sense about 6 years old and shoot nearly every day as an adult these
many years.
So when my friend introduced me to your original draw-loc I promptly sold
the crossbow and have enjoyed using my bow again shooting in my yard, 3-D
competitions & killing in the last few years several deer, bunch of hogs and
an elk. I can't thank you enough for your thoughtful design, I hope you
realize that it far from just a mechanical devise but gives folks like me
the ability to again enjoy the sport we love most regaining what was once
thought to be an ability lost.
Thank you Jerry,
MA

I love Your Draw-Loc"
The kids need to build some more muscle, they said their bows were too heavy with the drawled on them. I love them, their bows shoot very nicely at 60#. I think my dad is going to use one this year on my Mathews Outback, it will be his first time to hunt with a bow. He is 69 years old. I will send pictures if we kill anything with drawloc, great product, keep up the good work.

"Shoots Like A Dream"
Hey Jerry,
your Draw Loc shoots like a dream. And you were right about another thing, you turned me into a left handed shooter. Between my good right shoulder and dominate left eye, I'm shooting great. But now I need you to do me a favor if you can. Can you take your cheek piece and fabricate it to go onto the right side of the pivot shaft. Your screws already go in from that direction and the holes are already there. With a couple of spacers for the screws to go thru, it would stand off a little bit from the pivot shaft. That would give me a great cheek weld like a stock.
Let me know what you think.

I got my In-Line Vertical Crossbow
Jerry;
Just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how pleased I am with this product. This in-line-vertical crossbow is so much easier to cock than my top of the line conventional crossbow and you do not have to deal with a cocking rope or a crank plus another huge benefit is I can uncock it without having to fire it. The accuracy is excellent from sitting, kneeling, leaning against a tree or standing free hand. The light weight of this bow makes it much easier to handle in hunting situations and you would think there would be hand shock and vibration when you shoot this bow but there is none. Thanks again for such a fine product and your quick response to my questions before my purchase.

I currently have the Draw-Loc DL-24 bow
Good morning Jerry,
Thanks so much for helping me out with the Draw-loc!
I currently have the Draw-Loc DL-24 bow and have taken several deer and turkeys with it. I am upgrading to a newer Draw-Loc and the newer Draw-Loc In-line Draw-Loc system. Your bows have allowed me to get back into the beautiful West Virginia woods and enjoy my passion for hunting again. I was injured during my last tour in Iraq in 2004 and thought bow hunting was lost forever. Thank God I saw one of your shows with the Draw-Loc Bow and I knew I still had hope. I highly recommend your bows to everyone! Especially to disabled Veterans. I can't wait to get my new Draw-Loc and make some more great memories!!!!!!!!!!!

> Hope you are well. Got my order two weeks ago. Sorry I did not let you know when I got it. I was at home for only a couple of days and back to work again.
>
> I would like to thank you for the great service and a great product. I shot about 20 shots with it and it is very accurate. The bow is very fast and the trigger very nice. My 8 year old also shot it but he is still a little bit to small for it.
Let me know if you ever want to come down to SA or Namibia to do some hunting.
My twin boys had lots of fun shooting it and we will going hunting in August in South Africa with it. I will send you some pictures after the hunt.
>
> I have tried my 32" Easton arrows on the bow and they group really good on 20 meters. I had no chance to try shoot them at 40 or 50 meters.
>
> Thanks again for you good service.
>
> All the best and I will keep you posted with some pictures.

My Vertical Crossbow new upgrade
Now to my new upgrade. As you know I've had cervical spine surgery which has resulted in a damaged nerve in my left arm, so I need all the help I can get in holding up a bow (or anything else) and steadying it. The size of your bow already helped me in such a big way before this newest design. Now it's even better! It allows me to hold the bow to my shoulder resulting in much more ease of use. I was able to put my scope right back on and in 3 shots I had her zeroed and "smoking" my target. Pumpkins are not ripe around here yet so I'll have to report on that later!
This little lightweight bow fits my needs perfectly. It's easy to maneuver and it's easy to load. It's quiet, fast, and pretty doggone accurate.
You've got my email...you be sure to keep me posted on any improvements or upgrades.
Thanks again Jerry!

Oregon Dealer
Jerry,
Oregon’s hunting regulations do not allow crossbows for anyone but do allow the
use of Draw-Loc’s for the handicapped or disabled.
As an archery shop owner I find the Draw-Loc easy to install, trigger system as well as the total structure is well built and works very well.
Thank you,
Ben Ward

A letter from one of America's Hero's

Disabled Org. in Kent, England Recomends Draw-Locs
http://www.disabled-world.com/sports/archery-bowhunting.php
Last paragraph of article:
Perhaps the most useful piece of adaptive equipment is referred to as a, 'draw loc.' A draw lock holds the person's bow at full draw until a trigger is activated. While a draw lock-equipped bow is essentially the functional equivalent of a crossbow, the experience of using such a bow is similar to that of using a compound bow instead of a crossbow. An advantage of of using a draw loc is that persons who are strength impaired can draw the bow between their hands and feet using their stronger back and leg muscles. One down point to the use of a draw lock is that it does add weight to the person's bow.

My Product Review of the Draw-Loc for BowhHunting.Net
My name is Doug Bermel, I am the writer of a montly disabled article that appears on www.BowHunting.Net. After shooting a crossbow for many years I decided to try something different. I saw the Draw-Loc and gave it a try. I attached it to my Ross Compound Bow and was shooting 3” groups in no time. It is light weight and easy to handle and very user friendly. So if you find the crossbow to be heavy and awkward try the Draw-Loc. You will love the way it handles and the smooth way it shoots. Thank you Jerry for a great product.

I ordered 2 Draw-Locs
Hi Draw-Loc,
I ordered 2 of the In-Line Draw-Loc Units a couple of weeks ago and am writing to tell you how they worked for me. First of all when I took the first one out of the box, I noticed how well it was constructed and how well everything worked together. It only took me 10 min to install the first one and I was shooting with incredible accuracy right away. One of the important things I would like to mention is how quite the unit is, I believe it makes my bow quieter than is was without the draw-loc. The second In-Line Draw-Loc, I put on one of your Hickory Creek DL 24 bow I found on E bay. It had one of the Original Draw-Loc’s that I replaced; the combination is going to make me a shooting machine. Now I have to figure out which one I am going to let my wife shoot.LOL I will let you know how things go on the turkeys this spring.
Thank you for a great product,
Mark Smith

Got the Draw-Loc put on the wife's bow
Jerry,
Got the In-Line Draw-Loc for my wife’s Compound bow, let me tell you it works great. We are both shooting groups at 50 yards and I Robin Hooded and arrow at 40 yards. It is truly unbelievable at the ease of using it. In June or July I am going to buy an In-Line Vertical Crossbow for long range shooting. I can’t wait! I will be sending you some pictures soon,
Thanks again for a great product,

I like the Information on your web site
Jerry,
Well I just finished reading and watching video on your website and it is great! I had only gone to youtube before and didn't get all the detail your site has. Great that you covered vertical vs. horizontal crossbow ergonomics(I had no idea when I sent you an e-mail earlier today....great minds think alike!)
Anyway, my question is what is the maximum draw length on the new in line crossbow(vertical)? I like the name change too, now it's not a draw loc, it's a crossbow....we should be covered in Indiana with that name change.
I will be saving up for your new and improved design. Oh, I liked the bullpup stock too, is it listed on your price sheet?
Thanks,
Greg
Greg
Just my thoughts
Jerry,
I should have added below that although I have not shot a crossbow, I suspect guys adding draw locs to their existing bows will probably shoot more accurately than those just starting with a crossbow. They are already familiar with the bow and the weight and ergonomics of a crossbow would seem to make it more difficult to shoot off hand(like most treestand and ground blind situations). With a shooting rest, it's probably a tie. You probably already know, but it might be a marketing point for you.
Best Regards,
Greg

An e-mail from the UK
I got my draw loc today 3 days from USA to UK 12 days to me
good old British mail, i opened my box had a quick read 15 minutes
later i was shooting 3''dia circles at 30yds i am still in shock at
how simple and brilliant the draw loc system is,i normally shoot
traditional 80lb american flat bow but could not shoot my beloved
compound due to a shoulder operation that left me not being able to
invert my hand with the release aid without causing great pain so the
long and the short of this tale thakyou thankyou thankyou you rock and
you now have a British draw loc convert.
Still Hunting after shoulder replaced
First off, I want to thank you for making such a great, user friendly product! I have had you original draw loc for about 6 years. Last year, I updated to a new bow and draw loc system. I shaved 2lbs off my old system! This has allowed me to pursue my passion of hunting whitetails. After my first shoulder replacement,(now, I need the other one done!) I thought I was done! I am retired now, with a lot of time to hunt! Thanks again for making such a great product!!
Sincerely,
Daniel

Perfect Shot
The shot was a perfect double lung with an exit wound in the back of the right shoulder. He dropped 19 yards from where I hit him. My friend, Mike Jones, got the whole thing on video--the lighted nock made it great!
Thanks for the bow!!
Happy Hunting!

The more time I spend shooting, the more I want to shoot.
Just wanted you to know how much I enjoy my new bow. I've had many different brands in the last few years including Matthews and Hoyt but none like this Hickory Creek. The more time I spend shooting, the more I want to shoot.
I shot this buck about 10 days after I bought my bow and was very impressed with the performance of the bow. Well you take care, and have a wonderful holiday.

DRAW-LOC Rocks
Dear Draw-Loc Guys
I had elbow surgery in Feb 2008, afterwards I had to limit my bowhunting or practice due to the pain I would get from drawing my 60# compound. A friend told me about your product so I looked into it decided to get one for my birthday. I just got it installed went out in the yard to practice 20 shots NO PAIN at all. Oh did I mention I cranked the poundage ALL the way which would be 70#. I LOVE DRAW-LOC just might keep me bow hunting longer than the doctors and I thought. I have told some friend about Draw-Loc think they are waiting to see how I do with it. I can’t wait to see what they think. One of the guys has a shoulder problem told him it might help him just wait he’ll see the difference.
Thanks Again and Keep up the GREAT work

You have a great product, keep up the good work
My son bought a draw loc and it is the greatest thing going if you can't use a regular compound bow. I was really impressed, after about a month he is breaking balloons the size of fifty cent pieces at 20 yards. Is there a different rest that can be used, feather fletching or what would you recommend? You have a great product, keep up the good work and thanks for your time
— Bill
Jerry,
I want to thank you for giving me the ability at 72 years old with severe arthritis in both shoulders to continue to fulfill my passion.
